Evening Primrose Oil with Vitamin A and E

If you’re looking for a natural plant-based source of omega 6 fatty acids, look no further! We’ve just released our vegan-friendly Evening Primrose Oil formula with added vitamin A and E, which is packed with nutritious omega 6 fatty acids Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) and Linoleic Acid (an essential fatty acid that the body cannot make and therefore must be obtained through your diet).

What is Evening Primrose Oil?

Evening primrose oil is the oil that comes from the small seeds of the yellow evening primrose flower, a plant that is native to North America. For centuries, Indigenous Americans used the leaves and the bark of the evening primrose plant for its nutritional benefits and as a herbal remedy. It has since become commercially cultivated across the world thanks to its impressive nutritional profile!

What does Evening Primrose Oil do?

The active ingredient in Evening Primrose Oil is the omega 6 fatty acid Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). As GLA isn’t readily available and is hard to come by in our diet, evening primrose oil makes an excellent source to get this unsaturated omega 6 fatty acid.

In the body, GLA is converted into dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid (DGLA), which is used in the production of hormone-like chemicals known as prostaglandins within the body. It’s the prostaglandins that are involved in a range of biological processes which include maintaining normal metabolism, supporting hormonal balance, and suppressing inflammation. Evening primrose oil is an ideal supplement to assist in relieving inflammation, help with premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and to support healthy nourished skin.

What are the benefits of Vitamin A and E in the formula?

We’ve added vitamin A to our evening primrose formula as vitamin A plays an essential role in promoting skin health, preventing breakouts, and supports the daily replacement of skin cells; thereby supporting the maintenance of normal skin.

We’ve also added vitamin E to our evening primrose formula as vitamin E helps protect the skin from damage. Being a powerful antioxidant, the vitamin supports the health of the skin by protecting the skin from damage caused by daily environmental stressors like UV exposure (caused by unprotected sun exposure) and air pollution. Vitamin E also possesses anti-inflammatory effects, which can help soothe and calm the skin, providing healthy skin hydration (hello, beautiful skin!).

Our convenient one-a-day soft gels provide a multitude of nutrients to keep you nourished from the inside out. Thanks to the impressive GLA content, evening primrose oil makes the perfect addition to any beauty regime!
