Immune Support Gummies

Immune Support Gummies

Our immune system relies on a delicate balance of vitamins and minerals to optimally function, and it’s best prepared to take action when we feed it the right kind of nutrients! And now that lockdown restrictions are finally easing, it’s really important that we get plenty of immune-boosting nutrients into our diet.

Since healthy nutrition is essential to a strong immune system, we’ve been busy formulating Immune Support Gummies which work in synergy with the immune system. Each gummy contains a unique blend of key immune-supporting nutrients including vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and added elderberry for all-year-round support.

We’ve selected vitamin C, D and Zinc in our immune support formulation as all of these nutrients have been identified to play a key role in contributing to the normal function of the immune system. There’s evidence to suggest that deficiencies of these nutrients can impair immunity and make us more susceptible to infections.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C plays an important role in stimulating and strengthening the immune system in various ways. It primarily boosts the production of white blood cells which fight off illness-causing viruses and bacteria and also assists in stimulating the production of antibodies which are proteins that neutralise any invading microbes.

Vitamin D

In the body, vitamin D supports the immune system by triggering the body’s immune cells to produce infection-fighting antibodies thereby protecting the body from disease.

Zinc

Zinc is a key immune-supporting mineral that helps activate enzymes that break down protein in bacteria and viruses so that they are less likely to spiral out of control and spread- this is thought to be the reason why zinc is able to stem the severity of colds.

Elderberry- Elderberries, are well known for their immune nourishing antioxidant content (primarily made up of flavonoids) which help keep free radicals in check and may also protect the immune system. It’s also high in vitamin C (great for the immune system) and research has demonstrated that elderberries carry antibacterial and antiviral activities to support the body against foreign pathogens.
